Could I still use your services if we are not members of the church?

The Parish Center of Cary is open to the general public.  While parishioners of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church receive a discount on the event space rental fee, all are welcome to use our services.

How do I reserve the banquet halls or order food?

All reservations need to be made through the Facilities Director at The St. Michael Catholic Church.  The direct phone line is 919-468-6128.  Our Contact page has more information if needed.

Can I bring in any outside food or do I need to use your catering services?

St. Michael’s staff must cater all events, involving food, booked in the Parish Center or the Gallery Exceptions include specialty cakes (wedding or birthday) and we would be happy to refer you to our recommended bakeries.  This is to ensure the highest quality food and service for your guests.  We will be happy to work with your needs and will try to prepare any item not found on our menus.

Do you provide any off-premise catering (at home or business)?

Yes!  See this page for more information.

Do you supply photographers, flowers, balloons or entertainment?

We can line the staff up and sing, but trust us it's not that pretty.  We will however be glad to refer you to plenty of groups that can.  Let us know what you are looking for and we might be able to point you in the right direction.  If you prefer not to deal with it, we can book the decorator or entertainment and then add their charges to your invoice (with a slight up charge for our time).

I need to bring some items before my event, is there any storage available?

We do have storage for your items (within reason), however please let us know you are coming so we can clear enough room for you.  Cooler or freezer space is usually limited so if you have any items that need to stay cold we recommend bringing them in at the last minute.  Beverages will be chilled over ice in coolers instead of refrigeration.  All items need to be removed immediately after event.

Can I serve beer, wine or mixed drinks?

Beer & wine is allowed, but mixed beverages are not.  Also, we do not furnish alcohol of any kind.  You are permitted to bring in beer & wine, and no permit is required.  Although we do not provide alcohol, you will be required to use our bartenders to control whom and how much alcohol is being served.

Can I bring decorations in to the catering halls?

Yes.  You can bring decorations into the hall.  You may not use tape, nails, glue, etc. to hang items from the walls.  St Michaels provides hurricane globes and white candles for centerpieces (at no additional charge) but you are welcome to bring your own if you choose.  If you furnish balloons, they must be on 20' strings so that they can be retrieved from the ceiling.

Can I make changes to the reception?

You can make as many changes as you want up to two weeks before the event.  By that time all changes must be final (this does not include your guest count).

Does St. Michaels need an itinerary of my function?

Yes.  In order for your function to run smoothly, we need a schedule of events.  If you need help planning your itinerary, please feel free to ask our Facilities Director.
