Archangel Catholic Church Facility Use Guidelines.
Each function is
required to sign

The Catering staff at St. Michael Parish Center must prepare/supply any food
and beverages consumed in the Parish Center or Archangel Center; except for
professionally prepared wedding cakes and alcohol (see
alcohol policy
for rules and regulations)
All prices are subject to change.
The booking of the Parish Center or the Gallery will be done through the
Director of the Parish Center.
The facility use fee is due at the time of booking.
The facility use fee is non refundable.
The facility use fee reserves the facility for 5 hours. Any additional time
required will be charged at a fee or $100.00 per hour. The fee will be
assessed in 1-hour increments and will not be divided in halves or quarters.
Any additional time requested during an event must be paid in advance.
St. Michael furnishes a dance floor for $100.00 per event. A dance floor is
required for any event having dancing. (Applies to Parish Center only)
The rental of any equipment for any event will be billed with the final
payment.
This contract applies only to the room or facility being rented. No other
facility or rooms are to be used.
Maximum capacity rules will be applied according to the reception type. If
the number of guests exceeds the capacity, St. Michael’s reserves the right
to cancel the event. No refunds will be given.
St. Michael reserves the right to cancel an event at
any time, for noncompliance with any policies listed in this contract. We
also reserve to right to cancel the event if the guests are deemed to be
creating a disturbance. The event coordinator for that particular event will
be responsible for making this decision.
All events are to be booked through the
Parish Center office at 468-6128.
All initial menu selections
and requests must be submitted at least 4 months before the
event.
All final requests and requirements (except for guests count)
must be finalized two weeks before the event. Any changes
requested after the two-week deadline are subject to additional
labor/setup charges.
Guest’s count will be due 5 business days before the event.
Room Set-Up

The Staff of St. Michael will be responsible for all set up and break down for
functions.
Any materials that need to be delivered can be delivered the day before or
the day of the event. These times must be scheduled with the Parish Center
staff. Any unused materials must be removed at the end of the event unless
otherwise approved by the St. Michael Staff. St. Michael’s will not be
responsible for any materials provided by the user.
Room set-up requirements must be made in writing by the user and returned to
the office of St. Michael Parish Center office at least two weeks prior to
the event.
Audiovisual equipment requested in advance can be cancelled with no
liability on the part of the User group provided the notice of cancellation
is received one full working day prior to the scheduled event.
Changes in room setup or addition of audio-visual equipment to the meeting
area on the day of the program will be assessed the appropriate equipment or
labor charge.
Operation, repair or service of audio-visual equipment brought into the
building by the user group is the responsibility of that group.
St. Michael permits for the User to provide beer, wine
and champagne to their guests. Mixed Drinks or brown bagging are not
permitted.
The sale of alcohol at any event is not permitted.
St. Michael abides by all NC and ABC alcohol laws. We reserve the right to
refuse service to anyone at any point deemed necessary and to card and ID.
St. Michael Parish Center will provide the bartender. The bartender will
notify the user of any guests that need assistance. A beverage charge
applies for this service.

Smoking is not permitted inside any campus facility.
Smoking is allowed under the breezeway and in the parking lot.
Firearms are not permitted inside any building at St. Michael The Archangel
Catholic Church.
Please inform your DJ or band that the
sound is to be kept to a reasonable level. The Parish Center Staff will
determine what is reasonable.
We will inform the DJ or band if the sound is too loud. If we are required
to make this request more that three times during an event, the event will
end.
Property Damage
/ Liability Insurance

The user will be responsible for any damage done by
their guests on St. Michael the Archangel Catholic
Church Property.
The user must provide (or purchase from the
diocese) a 24-hour “Special Event Liability
Policy”. Failure to provide this information will result in the cancellation
of this event.
"Special Event
Liability Insurance" will cost $125 per event if purchased
through the diocese.
Decorations

The Parish Center provides linens (limited colors),
mirror tiles, glass globes and candles at no extra charge. The User may
provide additional decorations.
No items may be attached to the walls or mats. Pushpins, tape of any kind,
screws, nails etc. are prohibited from being used on walls, tables or floor.
All balloons must be provided already inflated with 20 ft. strings.
All decorations must be removed at the end of the event.
Payment Schedule

The User Fee for the Parish Center or Gallery is due at
the time of the booking.
A 50% non-refundable deposit on the food service is due 14 Days before the
event.
The balance is due three business days before the event.
Checks are to be made payable to St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church.
All users interested in paying by credit card should arrange an appointment
with the Parish Center office to make the payment.
Opening/Closings

The operating hours are Monday through Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Any Sunday rentals are contingent upon
Parish approval.
